Most knits that I can order (from anywhere) are too flimsy - translucent and almost transparent. This fabric has more substance. I would call it mid-weight but other things advertised as mid-weight are really light weight. This fabric is what I wanted and will give me the coverage that really is more appealing. I am happy with it.
